A 64×64 pixel temporal contrast microbolometer infrared sensor

چکیده
This paper presents a 64×64 pixel micro-bolometer based temporal contrast IR sensor. The pixels of the sensor independently and asynchronously respond to changes in thermal IR radiation and communicate respective events via arbitrated AER. A 46dB-gain, small-area, ultra low-power, low-mismatch differencing switched-capacitor amplifier has been designed for reading out the bolometer front-end. The chip has been fabricated in a 0.35μm standard CMOS process and covers about 4×4mm of silicon area. An amorphous silicon (a-Si) microbolometer array has been processed on top and contacted to the pixel circuits. Measurement results of the ROIC and the bolometer element and first results of the final temporal contrast IR sensor are presented.

متن کاملCalibration of uncooled thermal infrared cameras
The calibration of uncooled thermal infrared (IR) cameras to absolute temperature measurement is a time-consuming, complicated process that significantly influences the cost of an IR camera. Temperaturemeasuring IR cameras display a temperature value for each pixel in the thermal image. Calibration is used to calculate a temperature-proportional output signal (IR or thermal image) from the meas...

This paper presents an infrared focal plane array (IRFPA) response nonuniformity correction (NUC) algorithm which is easy to implement by hardware. The proposed NUC algorithm is based on the linear correction scheme with the useful method of pixel offset correction coefficients update. The new approach to IRFPA response nonuniformity correction consists in the use of pixel response change deter...
